It's one of the easiest robots to set up that we've ever tested. Unpacking is simple, and the quick-start guide gets you running in no time. You'll have a an entire dust bag, water tank, and a hard floor.
The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can cleans up a mess and is a great vacuum cleaner too. The mops are spun at high speed and use 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly take away pet hair, dirt and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, a variety of brushes and attachments as well as an intuitive app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you want for each room.
For instance, you can ask the robot to clean the kitchen and living room thoroughly, but leave the spare bedroom alone. The S1 Pro's front colision sensors and smart navigation tech are superb as the robot is able to detect tiny obstacles that other models struggle with. Its only issue is that it is known to smash into objects and walls at full speed. However, a quick look at the history of cleaning on the app will tell you precisely what the robot has done, where it is going, and which obstacles it has encountered or avoided.
A convenient LCD screen on the docking station shows the maintenance tasks that need to be done, such as emptying the debris tray and washing the water tank that is dirty. It can also mix detergent automatically into the water tank using a 600ml bottle of Eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum come with a long-running time. The mop can run for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode. The vacuum can last 136 mins in normal mode, prior to having to recharge or returning to the base. The app is easy to use and intuitive, allowing you to view all the details of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's flagship robot vacuum and mop is the most up-to-date version. The model this year has a double agitator built into its mopping pad. This enhances the cleaning capabilities of carpets with this model. The S8 Pro Ultra also has an improved suction capacity, allowing it to pull up fine hairs and other debris that other robotic cleaners could overlook.
The Roborock model, just like the other two I tested, has infrared and reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology that helps it avoid obstacles such as walls, furniture and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by incorporating a dual camera that can recognize objects and determine whether they're a wall or another surface. It can then automatically change its path and clean them without skipping a beat.
This is the most expensive of the three models I've examined, however, it's also the most packed with features. Its sleek, angular design is eye catching and comes with three physical buttons. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning mop button, which doubles as a child lock and a home-button that can send the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals the 350ml dust bin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank is self-emptying and the bin auto-filling.
The only issue I encountered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount is not removable. You can replace the mopping cloth if required, but it's a challenge to remove the mount to wash it manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet the robot crosses will be in contact with the Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, and could cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. The Roborock app lets you manage and set up these features. It also contains maps and advanced mopping options. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, monitor the battery life and maintain your components. You'll have to go through a few steps to enable voice control on this model. It's a shame considering how efficient it is otherwise.
3. Dreame X40

It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure that voice-controlled operations are smooth and easy.
